Patricia Lou Owens Day, 84, went home to be with her Lord July 27, 2013.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 17, at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.

Pat was born in Gooding on Oct. 11, 1928, to Archibald Owens and Stella Durfee Owens. At 10 years of age, she moved to Mountain Home, where she resided until her death.

Pat married Wilfred A. "Bill" Day after graduating from high school at the age of 17.

Bill and Pat were well know in Mountain Home for many years, and very involved in church and well loved for their hospitality and loving natures. They were "mom and pops" to many in the community.

Pat will be remembered as a loving wife and mother who adored her family and doted on them. It was her lifelong job, which she did very well.

She loved to garden, fish and go camping.

She and Bill lived for several years in Pine, where they were EMTs.

She will be remembered for her steadfast faith in Jesus and her many prayers for all she knew.

She was Bill's and son Dan's fishing buddy for years.

After her beloved husband, Bill, died in 2010, she remained faithful to her service to the church and family.

Pat is survived by her children, Karan and her husband, Peter Kahlke, of Boise, Dan and his wife, Charlene Day, of Mountain Home, grandchildren Joshua Day, Ryan Day, Daniel and his wife, Tanina Day, Samuel Kahlke, Jonathan Kahlke, Hannah Kahlke and great-granddaughter Hailey Fay Marie Day.

Pat was preceded in death by her mother and father, husband Bill Day, sons Fred Day and Billy Day and grandson Benjamin Day.

She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her. She is home now with "Pops" and that was her last wish.

Memorials in Pat's memory can be sent to the Boise Rescue Mission, P.O. box 1494, Boise, ID 83701.
