Concert milestone

Thursday, July 18, 2013

Performing their version of what the group calls "outlaw country" music, the Neckid Rednecks start their opening concert set Friday evening.

More than 300 people gathered at Carl Miller Park to hear the Idaho-based group, who opened this year's Concert in the Park series.

Celebrating its 10th anniversary, the free events are sponsored by the Mountain Home Arts Council, the city parks and recreation department as well as local businesses.

Brad Aggen and his daughter, Amy Leigh, sing a duet between the band's two music sets that evening.

The Summer Concert Series will continue Thursday, July 18, as Tarwater reunites after a nearly 25-year absence. The band will hold a benefit concert at Optimist Park. Proceeds will support the Mountain Home Fire Department.
