Letter to the Editor

Bradbury serves us well

Wednesday, July 17, 2013

Dear editor:

I was doing some late spring cleaning and came across this enclosed letter by Sandy Pitts dated 1989. The heading said "Bradbury's diatribes are really getting to be old news." She said, "Could someone please give this man a full-time job so that be would have less free time to research historical quotes which are ill-suited to support his specious syllogisms? She goes on to criticize him more. I hope she is still in Mountain Horne to read my letter.

I do not know Mr. Bradbury personally but I have lived here in Mountain Home since 1989 and I have read his letters to the editor and I agree with him almost all the time. He is well read and very intelligent. I enjoy his letters. I have thought to write and say so before but never got around to it. But I think he is right most of the time and I admire his intelligence and his research to give to us.

It is work to sit down and write a letter but be does it anyway and I think it is great. I am glad he did not stop writing the paper with his opinions. We have freedom of speech in this great USA and I an glad he did not stop writing to the editor because of her letter. I say, keep writing Mr. Bradbury, we all need your input. Thank you so much.
