Richard "Dick" Harbert, 77, of Mountain Home, passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2013, at his home.

Per his request, no services will be held. Cremation is under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel in Mountain Home.

At 77, I fought a two-year battle with Merkel Cell Cancer, my motto was fight to the end. Life is so precious, so never give up. I was given little time to say goodbye to some of his friends, for those I couldn't, I send you my love.

I loved the outdoors, fishing and all of nature. A member of the IBEW for 59½ years (I was really hoping to make it to the 60th year, to see what they give us! Darn!)

I am proud to be an Elk. As a Past Exalted Ruler and member for 51 years, I believe in what they stand for.

I love to restore old vehicles, do ceramics and woodworking and I have a great Man Cave to work in, with all the bells and whistles. Now, my son Darrel can enjoy my man cave!

I am most proud of my son, Darrel Carter, my daughter-in-law, Julie, and my four grandsons, Chris, Adam, Casey and Bryce, and I have a happy great-grandson, Austin.

Most of all, I will miss my wife, Linda, who is my true Love, my rock, and who has been by my side in the good days and the bad days. Even the bad days are great with her. She is my sunshine!

Please send no flowers, they will just die like me! If you would like to send money to defer our medical costs, that would be OK with me. Goodbye, see you in Heaven one day.

Richard
