Baseball team members earn individuals awards

Honors, awards and letters were handed out by Mountain Home baseball coaches at their annual Tiger baseball awards banquet last Wednesday night.

Tiger head varsity baseball coach Mark Cotton announced the All-Conference selections voted upon by the 4A Southern Idaho Conference coaches.

Earning First Team All-Conference as an outfielder was John Kennison.

The Second Team All-Conference third baseman honors went to Skylar Quintal. Earning Honorable Mention All-Conference were Skyler Podesek as catcher, Jesse Rodriguez as first baseman, Zach Petersen as pitcher, Danny Brescia as shortstop and Jesse Cobos as a utility player.

Coach Cotton also announced the team awards.

The Defensive Most Valuable Player award went to Skylar Quintal.

Jesse Cobos earned the Offensive MVP award.

Zach Petersen was tabbed the Pitching MVP and Cody Blakemore earned the Mr. Hustle award.

Tiger JV head baseball coach Bret Young handed out the JV team awards.

Daniel Cruz earned the Offensive MVP award, David Welle received the Defensive MVP award, Cody Simpson the MVP Pitcher award and Caleb Morehead was honored with the Mr. Hustle award.
