"We had a great week to head into district," said Tiger head track coach Rich Urquidi. "I think that (the boys' district JV title) was the first school athletic championship of the year. The boys did a great job. We were led by mostly sophomores and freshmen at the JV meet, and they stepped up to compete. We did not take a big group of girls to the JV meet. The girls that did compete had many personal best times or marks on the day."

The District III 4A Varsity Track and Field meet is Thursday and Friday at Emmett High School.
