Taking things to the 'Extreme'

Hosted by the Center for Community Health from Elmore Medical Center, the challenge featured various discussions geared specifically for fifth graders at the school.

During the day, students participated in more than a dozen activities aimed at helping them make smart lifestyle choices on topics like exercise, nutrition, sun safety, teamwork, self-esteem, tobacco use and aging.

Corey Modgling tries his hand at walking with a cane around a crowded classroom filled with obstacles that he was required to navigate around while wearing goggles that blocked his vision and gloves that helped impair the fine motor skills in his hands.
