Charles H. Wyllys, 63, of Mountain Home, passed away on Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, at his home.

A viewing will be held from 3-5 p.m. at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel on Tuesday, Jan. 8. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 9, at the Mountain Home Church of the Nazarene. Burial with military honors will be held at the Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Ore., on Friday, Jan. 11, at 10:30 a.m.

Charley was born on Sept. 21, 1949, in Lamar, Colo. He served 20 years in the U.S. Air Force and was a Vietnam veteran. He worked the last few years as a school bus aide for special needs children until the time of his death.

Charley married Gloria on Sept. 12, 1987, in Washington state.

He loved to camp, fish and hunt. He enjoyed reading western book,s history and the Lord!

If you ever met Charley, you would remember him. He had the gift of encouragement, he knew no stranger and liked everyone. He always had a smile on his face and a word of encouragement and most of all the time for a hug. Charley is with the Lord now!

Charley is survived by his wife, Gloria, of Mountain Home, his son, Karl Clark ,of McCall, his daughter, Leah Wyllys, of Chandler, Ariz., his stepson, Jim, and his wife, Jammie Strobel, of Washington, his stepdaughter, Connie, and her husband, Jon Evans, his mother, Jean, and her husband, Don Schultz, of Twin Falls, his sister, Mae, and her husband, Paul Daniels, of Jerome, and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles E. Wyllys, his daughter, Tammy Wyllys, his mother-in-law, Vivian Grail, and the Wyllys grandparents and the Kelly grandparents.
