X-country teams compete at Nampa

Arisha Karren and Andy Croft led their respective girls and boys Mountain Home cross country teams at the Gary Ward Invitational at Lake View Park in Nampa last Thursday morning.

Arisha Karren ran the course in 22 minutes, 19 seconds -- good enough for 28th overall and three seconds ahead of teammate Aerial Groene (22:22). Myra Vasquez came in 38th (23:15), Alicia Reynolds was 46th (23:50) and Shilo Clark finished 53rd (25:27).

Andy Croft ran the course in 18 minutes, 38 seconds, which placed him 28th in the boys race. Jake Schaefer was 29th, just five seconds behind at 18:43. Daniel Courtright was 38th (19:20), Steven Kreyche 48th (19:53) and Cody Ashby finished 56th (20:21).

Tracey Gordon led Mountain Home in the junior varsity girls race, finishing 50th in a time of 24 minutes, 40 seconds. Natalie Logue was 58th (24:53) and Erika Clark 75th (25:12).

Riley Urquidi paced the Mountain Home JV boys, finishing 104th in a time of 21 minutes, 22 seconds. John Goodell was 109th (21:30), Bill King 115th (21:41), Nolan Pasqualetti 127th (22:13) and Andrew Turner 145th (23:22). Mountain Home travels to Kuna on Thursday to run in the Gibb Floyd Invitational.
