Girl Scouts plant Centennial Tree

Girl Scouts from the local service unit planted an oak in Legacy Park last week.

Members of Girl Scout Service Unit 22 gathered last week to plant a tree in Legacy Park in celebration of the 100th anniversary of Girl Scouts.

The Girl Scout Centennial Tree was purchased by donations from the girls' annual cookie sale. The Girl Scouts were formed on Oct. 1, 1912.
