Fire prompts interstate closure

A range fire prompted law enforcement officials to close the westbound side of the interstate west of Mountain Home around 4:50 p.m. Wednesday.

According to initial reports, a vehicle crash triggered the blaze near Milepost 81 with the flames moving toward Tipanuk.

Fire crews from the Oasis Rural Fire District and Bureau of Land Management were responding to the blaze.
