James "Jim" Lee Adams, 69, of Mountain Home, passed away on Aug. 27, 2012.

A rosary service will be held at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, 115 N. 4th East St., in Mountain Home, at 7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 31. The funeral mass will be held at the church on Saturday, Sept. 1, at 10 a.m. Burial with military honors will follow at Mountain View Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.

James was born Dec. 24, 1942, in Hamilton, Ohio, to Elmer and Esther Adams. He graduated from high school and served in the U.S. Air Force as a military policeman.

He met Bridget Gilhooley in an English pub and they were married on June 29, 1963, in Tamworth, England. They enjoyed 49 happy years together.

In 1970, James and Bridget moved to Mountain Home with their three children. He worked at Mountain Home Air Force Base Civil Service until his retirement.

He enjoyed fishing and hunting. But most of all he enjoyed time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Bridget, son Tony (Connie) Adams, daughters Linda (Raymond) DeMeyer and Julie (Greg) Wierschem, nine grandchildren James, Chris, Travis, Bridget, Ashley, Jessica, Raquel, Haley and Nick and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
