Report: Disorientation linked to fatal crash

Wednesday, August 29, 2012
Capt. Francis "Piston" Imlay was killed after his F-15E Strike Eagle crashed March 28.

Spacial disorientation was deemed a factor in the crash of an F-15E Strike Eagle that killed a pilot from Mountain Home Air Force Base earlier this year.

Capt. Francis "Piston" Imlay was deployed to a base in southwest Asia when the two-seat fighter crashed March 28 during a large-scale training exercise.
