Meeting the Reptile Guy

Thursday, August 23, 2012

Corbin Maxey introduces the audience to Junior, a Nile Monitor Lizard, during a show Monday evening at the former Good Counsel Hall in Mountain Home. Hundreds of children and their parents packed into the hall to meet Maxey and his menagerie of reptiles and other creatures.

Having to reschedule his original performance in June, the nationally recognized animal expert visited Mountain Home as part of the city library's annual summer reading program.

It didn't take much to guess what was on the mind of some guests as they gasped at the sheer length of Shere Khan, a 16-foot Albino Burmese Python.

Dang man i wanted to go to that. Reptiles are so much cooler than mammals, and that goes double for humans.
