'Field of dreams' event organizer battles permit concerns

Capt. Harry Lewis considers it his personal "field of dreams" -- an opportunity to build something of lasting value that was not only fun but an opportunity to enjoy his retirement following a lifetime of hard, often dangerous work.

But it seems those dreams have been a bit of a nightmare for those involved in the project over the past few months.

Lewis admits he probably bit off more than he first realized when his idea of building a concert amphitheater near Mountain Home ran into more hurdles than he expected. Those issues recently prompted county officials to suspend his permit and led to the cancellation of a three-day music festival.
