Music festival shut down over permit violations

A three-day music festival scheduled to start last Friday evening at a new event center in Oasis was shut down by county officials just as the concert was set to start.
Sheriff Rick Layher confirmed that deputies shut down the music venue known as Neon Oasis, which had planned to use the Oasis Event Center for the concert.

its just the shifty fifty at work again
Read the other article how there was a deliberate fire set right next to this event center.
Maybe people need to be enlightened, Planning and Zoning shut it down and it was shut down due to them NOT getting the proper permits, the ECSO only acts on behalf of planning and zoning, due to the SO being the law enforcement agency for the county. If this was in the city and they did not get the proper permits or licenses, then the MHPD would have been the agency to shut it down. It would not have mattered who the sheriff is, it called The Law.
Apparently ol Rick wasn't invited to the party. So he decided to shut it down. I think its time for a new sheriff
