County fair and rodeo kicks off at fairgrounds next week

People from across Elmore County will enjoy a week of "fun in the sun" during the county's annual fair and rodeo, which runs from July 15-21 at the fairgrounds in Glenns Ferry.

The fair is all based around kids -- to educate them on challenges and responsibilities of farm life, said county fair manager Rena Kerfoot. This family concept brings together parents, relatives and siblings as they watch these youngsters compete in hopes of coming home with a blue ribbon, she said.
