Fireworks viewing area set to expand this year

As Mountain Home prepares to celebrate Independence Day next week, a change approved by the city council on Monday will expand the viewing area for this year's fireworks show.

This year's Independence Day fireworks display will begin at dusk July 4 at the Desert Canyon Golf course.

Unlike previous years where seating at the golf course was limited to the first fairway, seating this year will extend to the seventh fairway near the canal that separates the front and back nine holes.
