The building sat empty for a decade and is not up to current codes needed before it can be sold. They also have a potential buyer and even if they didn't buy after all was said and done there is still a much better chance of it being purchased once it is up to code. Otherwise it will continue sit empty, unused, unwanted, and eventually become an eye sore and an attraction for vandals or worse. Was glad to see somebody finally doing something about it!
I don't know why our tax dollars are being used to flip/gamble on real estate. Just remember your supposed to make money not loose money on a investment even if its not your money. Why not sell it to WECRD, they have more tax dollars to waste like they've been doing for the last ten years.
