Former Atlanta QRU leader charged with grand theft

The former president and treasurer of the quick response unit in Atlanta faces one count of grand theft during a preliminary hearing next month.

Kathy Makin stands accused of committing a series of small-scale thefts over a seven-month period starting in June 2011, according to the criminal complaint.
