Letter to the Editor

Senator Corder deserves our vote

Wednesday, May 2, 2012

Dear editor,

May 15, 2012, is an important date. It's the day you get heard, the day you can vote.

One particularly important vote you will cast is for your district representative. Please take the time to register as a Republican and vote for Tim Corder, and let me explain why I think you should.

Tim Corder is a man of his word. And I don't mean just with his "Capital Hill counterparts" up in Boise. I mean with regular folks like you and I.

I am just an average working Joe from Mountain Home, Idaho. I had an issue with an Idaho Fish and Game rule that was on the books. I wrote all of the Senate and House reps.

Senator Corder was one of the very few that responded. Not only did he respond, but he called me and personally met with me multiple times and then wrote two bills in 2011 trying to correct the problem. In 2012, he again got on board this endeavor and introduced yet another bill in the Senate trying to correct this problem.

The reason I tell you this is because it is important how he handled this and will handle your issues if you reelect him. He listened to me. Once he understood my concern, he investigated and agreed with me. He told me he would work this, and work this he did to the bitter end. Not because I'm some big influential member of society, and not because I have campaign money to help him. I'm just a middle class regular guy that has no means of financial support for him.

He did this because it was important, it made sense and because he promised me he would. That is the kind of person I want representing my interest. Not a Kool-Aid-drinking politician that, regardless of the issue and what is right or wrong, will vote his party.

Tim Corder is a man that has real and honest values, truly studies the matter at hand and will vote based on the facts and what's best for the community & state.

Please get out there and be heard on May 15th and vote.
