Reinvigorated local youth center 'back in business'

Last October, the Mountain Home Youth Center underwent a series of renovations aimed at rejuvenating the city's youth and teen outlet. This photo shows the center's front entrance before it received a fresh coat of paint.

Five months after budget cuts threatened to close its doors, the Mountain Home Youth Center continues to regain its reputation as the go-to place for local teens and youngsters.

"The word is that we're back in business," said Cameron Hale, one of many volunteers leading the center's ongoing renovation efforts.

Interest in the youth center saw new life last week after nearly 50 high school students packed into the center during the first dance of its kind in years.
