Car fire triggers house blaze

A car fire triggered a blaze that caused significant damage to a home on Mountain Home's south side Sunday afternoon.

According to information gathered at the scene, a car parked in the garage of a duplex at 100 Southwest Quaker Drive ignited with the fire extending to the structure itself.

The families of both units were able to safely leave their residences by the time firefighters had arrived on scene. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
