Lillian "Babe" Turvey, 67, died at her home in Bruneau on March 1, 2012, after a courageous battle with cancer. A service for family and friends will be held at a later date.

Babe was born in Ontario, Ore., on Nov. 24, 1944. She lived all over the Pacific Northwest, including Baker City, Ore.; Estacada, Ore.; and Bruneau. Babe was a true renaissance woman and among her occupations was semi-truck driver, beautician, health care professional and business owner.

She loved cooking, fishing and gardening, especially taking care of her roses. She loved the song, "I Did It My Way" and lived her life that way.

Babe is survived by husband, Paul Turvey; children Robert Timberlake, Shawn (Cindy) Timberlake, JoElle (Ray) Rau, Matthew (Kerrie) Turvey and five grandchildren; and her sister, Joice Overton, and brother, John Hunsucker. Babe was preceded in death by parents, William and Leona Hunsucker, and brother, Gene Hunsucker.
