Crash injures 3

Wednesday, March 7, 2012

Members of the Elmore County Extrication team prepare to move an injured motorist to a waiting ambulance following a single-vehicle rollover Monday afternoon on the interstate.

According to eyewitness accounts at the scene, the driver was traveling westbound on the interstate when a semi truck suddenly decelerated in front of him.

To avoid a collision, the driver swerved onto the left shoulder and lost control. The truck rolled once before coming to rest in the median near milepost 94.

A woman passenger in the vehicle sustained serious injuries in the crash and was flown by air ambulance to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise. The other injured passenger was taken by ambulance to Elmore Medical Center for treatment with an infant sustaining minor injuries. Photo by Brian S. Orban

Hope they are ok, with that being said if you would keep your distance than this wouldn't have happend. The driver was driving to close as a passager car can slow and stop faster than a semi-truck due to it's weight and mass.
