Crash critically injures man suspected of car theft

A man sought by the Elmore County Sheriff's Department on charges of vehicle theft and eluding deputies remains in a Washington hospital following a second high-speed chase and crash.

According to initial reports, a 1990 Honda Civic driven by Vernon R. Johnson, 31, collided with another vehicle after running a stop sign in Walla Walla, Wash., on Sunday.
