Newsstand prices set to increase

Wednesday, December 28, 2011

The newsstand price for the Mountain Home News will go up two bits after the first of the year.

Beginning with the Jan. 4 issue, the single-issue price of the paper will be $1.

"Our costs associated with distribution of the paper have been going up for several years and it's time we get caught up and bring our costs in line with those of other weeklies in the state," Publisher Coleen Swenson said.

The newsstand price increase does not affect annual subscription costs.
