The little, wooden doll caught Aurora Andersen's attention as the three year old took a closer look at the hand-made display. Picking it up from its makeshift crib, the toddler was too young to fathom the significance that tiny doll represented.

For three days last week, a team of nearly 200 volunteers showcased this sacred holiday tradition during the seventh annual Christmas Creche. Hosted at the Latter-day Saints stake center on South Haskett Street, the celebration sought to help people cherish the spirit of the season, according to event organizers.
