Feeding the need...

Friday, November 11, 2011
Among the Girl Scouts participating in the recent food drive included Sarah Conway, Cass Mclean, Emily Lampman, Rebecca Lampman, Cara McLean, Alex Fesperman, Carmen Spencer and Sam Higginbotham.

Girl Scout Troop 347's members recently dressed up as peanut butter and jelly sandwiches in an effort to help provide food for the hungry in Mountain Home.

The girls were at Albertson's asking people to donate jars of peanut butter and jelly for the Grace Lutheran Food Bank in Mountain Home.

They collected a total of 175 items for the food bank in less than three hours in front of Albertson's. They will continue their community service efforts by helping to box the food at the food bank in December.

  • So they sell over-priced fattening cookies for cash for themselves and beg for jam and peanut butter for the poor? Am I getting this correctly?
