Lady runners finish sixth at state

The Mountain Home Tiger girls cross country team finished sixth during the 4A State Cross Country Meet at Eagle Island State Park on Saturday.

There were 15 full teams that raced with Bishop Kelly running away with the girls title with 58 points.

Hillcrest was a distant second with 111, Jerome was third with 135, Skyview, fourth with 153 and Preston fifth with 155, which was 19 points ahead of Mountain Home's 173.

Keesha Janis-Gibson led Mountain Home, finishing 19th in a time of 20 minutes, 37.72 seconds. Sarah Richins finished 36th (21:20.67), Aerial Groene 39th (21:28.41), Arisha Karren 44th (21:32.58), Kacee Cameron 58th (21:56.27), Shelby Henrick 76th (22:21.85) and Tracy Gordon 110th (24:42.21).

Mountain Home senior runner Mike Price ran in the 4A boys race, and finished 19th in a time of 17 minutes, 17.13 seconds.
