Linda K. Tveidt, 69, of Glenns Ferry, died on Oct. 25, 2011, at her home. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 2, at 2 p.m. at the Moose Lodge in Glenns Ferry, Idaho. Arrangements are under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel in Mountain Home.
Linda was born on Oct. 15, 1942, to Isaac and Ruth Cantrell in Springfield, Mo. She lived in Missouri with her parents and eight siblings until the family moved to Idaho. While in school at Homedale, she met Donald John Tveidt Sr. They married on March 10, 1960. She then joined Don at Fort Bragg, N.C., where he was stationed. There they were blessed with a son, Donald John Tveidt Jr., and two-and a-half years later, a daughter, Tina Payne (Tveidt). After being discharged from the service in 1967, they moved back to Idaho where they raised their children and were later blessed with three grandsons, three granddaughters and seven great-grandchildren.
Linda was a very talented painter and crafter. She enjoyed teaching her grandkids and great-grandkids crafts. She loved spending time with her family and her trips to Jackpot with Don and the family were her favorite. She will be greatly missed and forever remembered to all who knew her.
Linda is survived by her husband of 51 years, Don, son Don Jr. (Cheryl), daughter Tina Payne, grandsons Jeremy (Trish) Payne, John (Naomi) Payne and Benjamin Tveidt, granddaughters Julie Payne (Austin Gentry), Samantha Tveidt and Amber Tveidt, six great-granddaughters, Taylor Payne, Hailey Gentry, Samantha Payne, Emily Payne, Isabell Payne and Dallas Gentey, brothers J.C. (Thelma) Cantrell, Hugh (Delores) Cantrell and Larry Cantrell, sisters Zelma Watkins and Beverly (Mel) Graul and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by both her parents, brothers Ivan, Dale and Billy, one grandson and a great-grandson, Dominick.
