Ashly Hankins has been missing since Monday.

Ashly Shalane Hankins, 25, of King Hill, who has been missing since Monday, has been found alive in the Twin Falls area.

The Twin Falls County Sheriff's Office said Hankins was found in a canyon near River Road in Buhl Thursday morning at about 9 a.m. when a nearby farmer heard her cries for help.

She had been reported missing by her mother on Tuesday afternoon from the King Hill area. Authorities believe she had apparently fallen and was unable to get back to her vehicle, which was discovered at the top of the grade on Wednesday evening just before 7 p.m.

How far she fell and what she was doing in the area is unknown at this time It also is unclear how long she had been in the canyon.

Twin Falls County deputies, including a canine unit, searched for several hours Wednesday but called off the search until Thursday morning due to darkness.

Hankins was transported by air to St. Luke's Magic Valley Regional with serious injuries. She was conscious but disoriented due to dehydration.

Twin Falls County deputies, search and rescue, Filer Fire and QRU, and Magic Valley Paramedics assisted with the rescue which took about 90 minutes.

Family members who reported her missing had told Elmore County Detectives that it was out of character for Hankins to leave and not make arrangements for her two small children without notifying other family members. They told authorities at the time that she may have been traveling to Twin Falls or the surrounding area.
