Gist, VanMeer to marry

Eddie and Sharly Cantrell of Mountain Home have announced the engagement and upcoming wedding of their daughter, Courtney Sue Gist, to Jacob Ira VanMeer, son of Chuck and Tammy VanMeer of Mountain Home.

The bride-to-be graduated from Mountain Home High School and currently is studying in the medical specialties program at Steven-Henagar Collage. She works at A.J's restaurant.

The prospective bridegroom attended Mountain Home High School and graduated from Metro High School. He currently is employed at Jim's Lumber.

The couple have planned a Sept. 24 wedding. The ceremonies will be held at the home of the groom's parents.
