Mountain Home Tigers debut Sept. 2

The Mountain Home High School Tigers continue to work to be ready for next week's football home opener on Sept. 2 against the Columbia Wildcats.

Tiger head football coach Brian Floyd was working hard at getting more kids out for football once school started -- and trying to get players in working at various positions.

"We have only had four days of practice on the field, so I really can't give an assessment of what we really have yet. We are still moving kids around to different positions," the coach said last Thursday.

Coach Floyd was impressed with the numbers at the lower levels, indicating they had around 30 freshmen out and 55 seventh- and eighth-grade athletes.
