Gibbons celebrate 50th

Larry and Judy Gibbons celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with their family on July 30.

They were married Aug.12, 1961, in Boise, Idaho. They settled in Mountain Home when Larry started his teaching career at Mountain Home High School, retiring 34 years later.

Judy traded her professional aspirations for motherhood, "from which there is no retirement," son Jay noted.

Together, they raised seven children: Jay (Jacci), Janet (JD), Jeff (Katie), Jill (Jason), Jennifer (Scott), Jacci (Chad) and Justin (Karissa), and honorary son Chris Hansen (Chelsea). They have 25 grandchildren.
