From left, Ron "Elwood" Minegar and Bob "Jake" Kohnke belt out the theme from the classic TV show Rawhide during the Blues Brothers Rock 'n Soul Revue concert Friday evening at Carl Miller Park.

Recreating the classic sounds from the '80s movie, the band returned to Mountain Home last week after their previous "mission from God" -- to quote the classic film -- was cancelled due to an act of God that came in the form of a thunderstorm.

The band's performance was the second in this year's Summer Concert Series sponsored by the city's Parks and Recreation Department and the Mountain Home Arts Council. The series continues at 6 p.m. Thursday, July 28, as the city welcomes the B-3 Sides band. Photo by Brian S. Orban
