School Choice, Educational Freedom To Be Celebrated Friday In Twin Falls Free Ice Cream Social, Harmon Park, 4-8 pm

Tuesday, July 26, 2011

On what would have been free market economist Milton Friedman's 99th birthday, the Idaho Freedom Foundation in conjunction with the Friedman Foundation for Educational Choice and the Coalition of Idaho Charter School Families will hold a free Ice Cream Social for School Choice on Friday, July 29 from 4-8 pm at Harmon Park in Twin Falls. All are welcome.

"There's no better way to commemorate the 99th anniversary of the great Milton Friedman's birth than by celebrating school choice. It was the cause for which he and his wife Rose founded the Foundation for Educational Choice," said Idaho Freedom Foundation Executive Director Wayne Hoffman. "We hope all who support educational freedom will join us for ice cream and fellowship Friday afternoon and evening."

Attendees may bring picnic dinners and recreational equipment to enjoy Harmon Park's many amenities such as covered shelters, horseshoe pits, volleyball, basketball and tennis courts, and softball and baseball fields. The park is equipped with charcoal grills and electricity.
