Elmore County Fair

After reading the polls for "What did you think of the Elmore County Fair?", I was disheartened. I know the Fair is a little early, I know it was hot, but there are fairs all summer long, in all kinds of weather. This is YOUR Fair Elmore County, take pride in it. The fair also belongs to the kids who have spent countless hours getting their animals, produce, crafts and other entries ready to show. What message are we sending them by not bothering to show up and support our newest generation. 4-H teaches many things positive kids cant always get in a classroom. I am not sure what it's going to take to get a more positive reaction to our fair, there are many who work behind the scenes trying their hardest to make this a great fair for everyone, and again...seems there is no support there. This Elmore County Fair is a great break from all the problems going on in everyday life, and for some of these kids, their animal projects are every day life and seems our support would mean even more. I would like to encourage everyone to go the fair, watch the kids, pat them on the back and tell them "great job" and watch their eyes light up. Lets support "Our Fair and Rodeo".
