Oily rags trigger duplex fire

A fire in one unit of a duplex at 331 W. 2nd North St. Thursday morning caused approximately $15,000 damage to the dwelling.

But Fire Chief Phil Gridley Jr. said it could have been worse, and demonstrated the value of having sprinkler systems in buildings.
