Book signing highlights night of chocolate & wine

A noted fiction author will sign copies of her books during an evening of chocolate and wine Friday evening at the Phoenix Storybook Company.

The event featuring Bethany Maines runs from 6 to 8 p.m. at the local bookstore at 2390 American Legion Boulevard.

During the evening, people can also enjoy free samples of wine from Cold Springs Winery and chocolate from Weiser Classic Candies.

A native of Tacoma, Wash., Maines' most recent books include "Compact with the Devil" and " Bulletproof Mascara."
