Tigers track teams place during Twin Falls tourney

The Mountain Home Tigers closed out their regular season track schedule at Twin Falls on Friday. The girls ended up a close second to Twin Falls while the boys finished in third place.

Twin Falls won the girls competition with 99 points. Mountain Home was second with 77. Jerome had 62 points and Kuna brought up the rear with 18 points.

Mountain Home's lone first place finish was in the 4x200-meter relay, where Heather Williams, Tracey Gordon, Shelby Henrick and Jessica Tindall finished first.

Second-place efforts went to Dakota Barrie in both the 100- and 300-meter hurdles and the high jump, Marissa Streeter in the triple jump and Kristen Kreutzer in the shot put. They also finished second in the 4x100-meter relay, 4x400-meter relay and the 800-meter sprint medley relay.

Third-place efforts went to Jessica Tindall in the 100-meters, Heather Williams in the 200-meters, Haley Schaefer in the 3200-meter run, Kacee Cameron in the triple jump, Keesha Janis-Gibson in the shot put and Shelbie Toenjes in the discus.

Fourth-place efforts went to Christina Segovia in the 100-meters, Tracey Gordon in the 200-meters, Haley Schaefer in the 1600, Marissa Streeter in the long jump, Jaisyn Sarrett in the triple jump and Kristen Kreutzer in the discus.

Fifth-place efforts went to Leann James in the shot put and discus, Ashley Harmon in the 200-meters, Sarah Richins in the 1600 and Christina Segovia in the high jump.

Twin Falls won the boys competition with 82.2 points. Kuna was second with 68, Mountain Home third with 53 and Jerome fourth with 51.3 points.

Alexander Ling ran to first-place in the 110-meter high hurdles. The Mountain Home 4x200-meter relay team also took first.

Second-place efforts went to Raymond Aflague in the discus and the 4x400-meter relay team.

Third-place efforts went to Juan Silva in the 100-meters, Dylan Johnson in the 1600, Michael Price in the 3200, Luke Filipovich in the high jump and Jeff Checketts in the shot put.

Fourth-place efforts went to Alexander Ling in the 200-meter hurdles and the high jump, Ricky Castillo in the 200-meters, David Katsules in the 400, Jeremy Wussow in the 800 and Curtis Jackson in the discus.

Fifth-place efforts went to Chaise Hopkins in the 300-meter hurdles and the long jump, Michael Price in the 1600-meters and Aaron Menhart in the 110-meter high hurdles.

The District III 4A Track and Field meet is this Thursday and Friday at Bishop Kelly.
