Taxing district elections slated Tuesday

Voters will go to the polls Tuesday to cast ballots in what, under the new consolidated election laws, have been declared the off-year taxing district elections.

Polls will open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. The standard general election polling sites will be used, however, there are some minor changes.

In addition, the county is now in charge of running all elections for the first time and will have to sort out which voters are eligible to vote in which elections at each polling site.
