Golfers finish fifth at Wildcat

The Tiger boys finished fifth at the Wildcat Invitational golf tournament at Hunter's Point golf course last week, April 18.

Centennial won the tourney, shooting a 315 team score, Middleton was second at 324, Bishop Kelly, third at 328, Columbia, fourth at 342, Mountain Home, fifth at 355, a stroke ahead of Nampa's 356 and Skyview came in seventh with a 369 total.

Brent Sexauer led the Mountain Home golfers, shooting a 79, which tied him for fifth. Clint Butori carded an 85, Doug Zilnicki came in with a 90 and Derek Doerr shot a 101.

The Tigers were back at it the next day, traveling to Purple Sage Golf Course in Caldwell for a conference match hosted by Middleton. The host Vikings won the match, shooting a 158 team score. The Tigers tied Columbia and Nampa for second with a 185 score.

Clint Butori and Derek Doerr paced Mountain Home, both shooting a 43 over nine holes, just four shots back of the leaders. Brent Sexauer came in with a 49, and Ron Hurley shot a 50.
