Alexander Ling was part of a five-way tie for seventh place in the high jump.

Colby Hall was eighth in the pole vault and Michael Daniels finished eighth in the triple jump.

"For our first big meet of the year, we had some really good results," said Tiger head track coach Rich Urquidi. "Christina Segovia broke the school record in the pole vault. Her nine-foot jump was even into a head wind.

"Dakota Barrie placed in the top three in her three events, and Jordan Vivier was in the top three in her two distance races.

"On the boys side, J.T. Cristobal and Curtis Jackson both competed well. When I saw the team results, I have to say I was a little surprised to see our girls end up on top at the end of the meet. We knew the competition was going to be really good and we are still trying to figure out what events to place everyone.

"The boys were in the middle of the pack -- about where we were expecting them to be -- and they keep improving each week," Urquidi said.

The Tigers host Emmett, Nampa and Middleton in a meet on Thursday, and will send a select group to the Bandana Invitational at Mountain View on Friday and Saturday.
