Hacker kids to sing at capitol

Wednesday, March 9, 2011

The Hacker Middle School sixth grade choir will travel to Boise on Thursday morning to perform in a nationwide music observance.

Choirs from across Idaho started performing in the newly renovated rotunda at the state capitol earlier this week as part of the national Music In Our Schools Month observance.

This week's rotunda concerts were coordinated by the Idaho State Department of Education's arts and humanities coordinator to showcase the variety of music programs in local schools, according to Hacker choir director Mona Jackson.
