Julianna Hetz, 91, of Mountain Home, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 30, 2011, at a local hospital.

A memorial service was held on Thursday, Feb. 3, t Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Aurora, Ill. Cremation was under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.

Julianna was born Feb. 16, 1919, in Hercegfalva, Hungary, the daughter of Michael and Elisabeth (Treml) Szautner. She married Adalbert Hetz in February of 1938 in Hungary. Together they had three children; Julianna, Bela and Gizella. The family moved to Germany in 1946 and then to the United States in 1956, settling in Aurora, Ill.

Julianna enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, crocheting, knitting, gardening and visiting with her family and friends. She also enjoyed being a homemaker and playing Yahtzee and Bingo.

Julianna is survived by her daughter Gizella and her husband, Frank Edes, of Mountain Home, her sister Anna and her husband, Teo Brinski, of Germany, her brother Anton and his wife, Terese Winish, of New Jersey, six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Adalbert Hetz, her son, Bela Hetz, and her daughter, Juliana Fay.
