Students say thanks for food drive donations

Wednesday, December 22, 2010

Dear Editor,

Hacker Middle School would like to thank the community for helping with the El-Ada food drive. Last year, we raised 1,680 items, and this year we shattered our record by raising 2,111 items.

We also want to thank the Dollar Tree for donating all those toys. It was a success. Once again, thank you.

Sincerely,

-- Cierra Webb, Hacker Middle School student

Dear Editor,

We want to thank the community for their support with our Feed the Need food drive. With their help, we collected 2,111 food items this year to be donated to El-Ada Food Bank and the Animal Shelter. There was so much food that the truck overflowed!

We are grateful for everyone's help and support. Thank you!

-- Nathaniel Hernandez and Taylor Charlton, sixth grade students

Dear Editor,

Thank you to the community for supporting our food drive at Hacker Middle School. We set three goals: 700 items to earn a movie day, 1,200 items for a pajama day and 1,681 items for a soda.

We crushed all three goals in collecting 2,064 items by our deadline. Our unofficial count for items collected for Feed the Need was 2,111 items.

Thanks to everybody for the support.
