  • Wow! You forget to mention that she gets paid to work full time as the city enforcement officer. How does she ever squeeze it all in to the day?

  • Just curious how she works in classroom volunteer and field trips around her paid city job. I believe they both operate during the same hours. I have a great respect for volunteers. I try to do volunteer work myself when I am not on the clock.

  • I think that you may have lost the point Junkyard. I think what he was trying to say is that the average person with a full time job works approx. 2080 hrs a year. Add 800 plus hours for volunteer work and it is almost 2900. Take driving time to Boise for classes (which I like that she does this) 2 hours round trip and it is another 2-6 hours a week just in driving time. Add the classroom time and and what do you have? Then the housework plus at home and there seems to be a worn out person when it comes to the job being paid for. This is still not getting the trailers off the streets, the cars with flat tires away from the curbs, and many homes with trash, broken down vehicles, and assorted garbage out of the neighborhoods. Check out the VW located on 10th just down from the library. Many instances of this thing. Amused MtnHomey has a point. Getting paid for a job and not doing it is kind of a taxpayer problem and perhaps needs a fix by supervisors in charge.
