Two chartered planes left Gulfport, Miss., this week, filled with hundreds of Idaho citizen soldiers of the 116th Cavalry Brigade Combat Team of the Idaho Army National Guard.

Included among those soldiers was Army Spec. Dusty Isaac of Charlie Troop 2. Born and raised in Mountain Home, he is the son of Denise Isaac and Andy Isaac, and the grandson of Dorraine Aggen (and the late Chuck Aggen, and Pauline Isaac (and the late Art Isaac), all of Mountain Home.

His service to the nation is part of a family tradition. His grandfather Aggen served 26 years in the Air Force, including a tour in Vietnam. His grandfather Isaac served in the Army Air Corps during WWII, during which he spent several years as a POW after his bomber was shot down over Europe.
