First-time debaters earn 8 awards

The debate season got off to a fast start last Saturday for the Mountain Home High School Talkin' Tigers Debate team as the squad won eight awards at the Meridian Novice Debate Tournament at Meridian High School.

The awards were the first ever from Mountain Home students at the tournament for first-time debaters.

The team of Justin Johnson and Will Negri went undefeated to earn top honors in Public Forum Debate, while teammates Peyton Lettkeman and Sierra Traylor also went undefeated.
